What a big night! Congratulations to all winning teams of this year’s Maintech Startup Summit 2019! With more than 100 spectators, 15 innovative start-ups presented themselves with extremely qualitative and mature business models, which impressed our top-class jury. The unique campus of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management was not only an event location, but also the perfect environment for a forward-looking event in the renowned Fintech metropolis of Frankfurt am Main. This is precisely why we are happy to continue investing in creative young entrepreneurs who will continue to make the Rhine-Main area strong in the future and are looking forward to giving something back to the start-up community.

The winners
1st place of the evening went to the start-up READ-O, which brings more dynamic to the book market with artificial intelligence. Jonathan Mondorf, Simon Fahrshid and Michael Pomogajko, the founders of this idea, concentrated on finding books on the basis of special filters. Through “Natural Language Processing” a very targeted way, one has not to rely on bestseller lists, but obtains quick and personalised results based on one’s own wishes – a book exactly to one’s taste!

The second prize went to LOFINO GmbH, Thomas Biermann and Max Dietrich. They developed an app for the clever use of employee benefits and sustainable mobility solutions. Their app avoids complicated paperwork and accounting and uses tax advantages in a simple and quick way.

Parloo, the start-up of Mark Matthies, Stephan Zeinar and Philipp Lenz, won the third prize at the summit. The website facilitates party planning with an algorithm based on Artificial Intelligence that supports event planning. Children’s birthdays can already be planned with Parloo.
